Scouts and parents, please submit your deposits for summer camp. If the camp does not happen or you are not comfortable with your child attending, you will be able to get a refund. Summer camp is our best activity for the Troop and I look forward to seeing everyone at camp in July. Additional information can be found above.
We had our first-ever virtual Troop meeting last Tuesday night. Thank you for attending and trying this new format out. I was really pleased and proud of the Troop and the senior leadership for putting this together and the work that went into it. As it was the first, we learned a lot and your SPL Simon is working with Lucas and Christian to implement some changes that would be helpful. We do plan on using Zoom again and will purchase a zoom account in which there is some speculation this will improve the bandwidth and increase our time. Our meetings will be shorter, more focused on scout skills, and then we will have an opportunity for those interested to work on a merit badge right after the meeting. Mr. Rzepczynski will be hosting the Public Health merit badge and we will have additional information to share at the meeting. We are planning on a 1-hour preparation meeting with the PLC on Monday at 6 pm with Zoom and your leaders may take on a more instructional approach to skills. Our troop will rise to the challenge and I’m really proud of the leaders and the Troop to respond and put this program together. Good work scouts!
