Last weekend the scouts were climbing Mt. Washington. Our meeting Tuesday was focused on setting up tents and last night the Scouters held the monthly Troop Committee Meeting. Congratulations to Simon, our SPL, for his leadership in the meetings on Mt. Washington and in earning Life Scout. Well done!
A scout is clean. Remember to wash your hands and use the 20 seconds to lather and wash, then rinse. 20 seconds is a long time. Recite the scout law. Say a prayer (a Scout is reverent). Use this time while you wash your hands and take your time. As good citizen’s we do our part by helping others. Part of that responsibility is not spreading germs. To help prevent that, wash your hands and use what they call social distancing. This is not easy. Do your good turn and think of others. Think of your part as being a good scout and citizen to our community by being clean, helping others stay well and of course, taking care of yourself and your family. As described in the announcements, we will follow the school’s lead in when we have meetings and that would include our PLC meetings. I’ll be reaching out to some of our scout leaders and perhaps we could do a “virtual” scout meeting and learn some scout skills or merit badge requirements. Let us look at the opportunities and see what we can do.
