Happy New Year. We had/have a busy scout week. Monday was the PLC where we planned with the new leaders upcoming events and what the various roles are in the Troop. We are not planning on den chiefs this year at least through the summer, but will certainly help our cub packs and welcome new scouts.
We plan on having another PLC on January 18, 2021, at 6 pm so that the leaders can complete the self-evaluation. We also have some more planning to do for the Klondike and some options for tubing, skiing, and/or skating. Several events were discussed and we need more information and some decisions. Every scout should be able to do a bowline and it was fun having an outdoor dodge ball game. The lantern strung from the tree provided good light. Congratulations to new Star scout Lincoln who passed his board of review. Last night we had the Christmas Tree preparation meeting and Saturday we have over 700 trees to pick up. One at a time. Leave no trace and leave no tree. It will be fun, family-oriented, and full of cheer and good service. Helping the community and remember we represent the Troop and it is good citizenship. But each day you should be doing your good deed!
