Scoutmaster's Message

Good Scouting

Isaac Davis Camporee will go down in history as a challenging campout to say the least. Cold, rain, wind and a cancelled parade. One for the record books. I hope everyone has warmed up. Several of our scouts and scouters participated in the 2nd Annual Minutemen’s Pursuit Trail hike, also overcoming rain and snow showers. April is just full of surprises.

I hope you (scouts) had a nice break from school. For the older scouts, please make sure you take a look at last week’s announcement which talked about how we define ACTIVE SCOUTING. It’s important to understand the ACTIVE SCOUTING concept and please contact me with your questions.

There are 8 more meetings until the end of the school year and we will begin our summer program on June 19, which will include some planning for the Boston Harbor Island Camping Trip at the end of June.

The PLC meets on April 30 and we will update the calendar and meeting schedule through the end of the school year. Stay tuned.

Here are the next couple of Troop meetings;
4/24 - Refresher Training by Patrols – 3 Stations – First Aid, Merit Badge process, and Scout Leadership. All three patrols will rotate through the stations.
5/1 – Planning CrossOver, Rope Bridge and DOSO
5/8 – Elections

Elections:
