National Youth Leadership Training, 6/28 – 7/3/09, Camp Sayre

posted Jun 1, 2009, 6:52 PM by Committee Chair ‎(Curtis Gekle)‎

Troop 132 can pay for scout leaders to go. How can you beat that?

This course is the ultimate Youth Training experience formerly known as JLTC.   Scouts will learn, live, work, and develop as patrols for a full six days modeling a month of troop meetings in a unit - three Troop meetings and an outpost camp. It will prepare scouts to be SPL, ASPL, PL and other troop positions. The course uses the patrol method and models Patrol Leaders? Council meetings and skill sessions to guide patrols on their "Quest for the Meaning of Leadership" to help participants develop leadership and teamwork skills they can take back to their units.  Girls holding leadership positions in Crews are welcome.

Fee for the course is $250 if paid by June 1, 2008.  Registrations received after June 1, 2008 will be charged $280.  All participants need to be at least 13 years of age and First Class Scout by the start of the course.  REGISTRATION FOR THIS COURSE REQUIRES SCOUTMASTER APPROVAL.  Please have your Scoutmaster notify Mr. Pascarella to confirm approval. All participants are expected to bring a current Boston Minuteman Council Health Form (same as scout camp), full scout uniform, Activity Scout shirts, personal Scout camping gear and a tent.
